Course Introduction and Setup
This course is designed to take you beyond the basics of using Zotero (adding items and creating citations) to having it serve as a fully-fledged research partner. The course is broken into five broad topics, with several video modules in each section. The video below provides an overview of the course, and shows you how you can download and import a sample Zotero library that matches the examples in the videos. With the sample library installed, you can follow right along!
If you’re new to Zotero and need to understand the basics, check out these resources:
- York’s written, online guide to Zotero
- McGill’s Zotero tutorials on YouTube (only 20 minutes of video in total!)
Learning Objectives
At the end of this module, you will be able to:
- Describe the content and features covered in this course
- Set up a sample Zotero library you can use to follow the course examples
