Last updated:<\/strong> September 12, 2022 for OJS 3.3.0.11<\/div>\r\nGo to Submissions > Archive<\/strong> to find a list of published [pb_glossary id=\"151\"]submissions[\/pb_glossary]. You can search for articles by name or by submission ID.\r\n\r\nAlternatively, you can find a link to submissions in the tables of contents of published [pb_glossary id=\"148\"]issues[\/pb_glossary] via Issues > Back Issues<\/strong>.\r\n

  1. Click the submission title in the Archive.<\/li>\r\n \t
  2. Open the Publication<\/strong> tab.<\/li>\r\n \t
  3. Click either Unpublish<\/strong> or Create New Version<\/strong>\r\n
      \r\n \t
    1. Use Unpublish<\/strong> if making minor changes or adding to the metadata of a submission (eg, updating the publication date or adding a reference list).<\/li>\r\n \t
    2. Use Create New Version <\/strong>if you\u2019re making more substantive changes (changing the galley file, title, or contributor info) to a submission.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/li>\r\n \t
    3. Make edits in the Production sub-tabs, as required. Click Save<\/strong> at the bottom of each screen as you edit.<\/li>\r\n \t
    4. When finished, click Schedule for Publication<\/strong>. The submission will be republished to the same issue.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n

      Fixing the error: \"the submission must be in the Copyediting or Production stages...\"<\/h2>\r\nWhen you attempt to republish or publish new versions of very old submissions, you may encounter an error message that says, \"The submission must be in the Copyediting or Production stages before it can be published\" (Figure 1). This may happen when submissions have been created and published through an earlier version of the [pb_glossary id=\"154\"]QuickSubmit[\/pb_glossary] plugin, especially in OJS 2.\r\n\r\n[caption id=\"attachment_257\" align=\"aligncenter\" width=\"300\"]\"Screenshot<\/a> Figure 1: a screenshot of the error message that prevents some submissions from being re-published or having new versions published.[\/caption]\r\n\r\nTo resolve this error, you must assign an Editor to the submission and reapprove the submission for publication:\r\n

      1. Review the status of the Workflow sub-tabs:\r\n

        1.         3. Assign the Editor to the submission:\r\n

          1. In the Submission sub-tab, next to Participants click Assign<\/strong><\/li>\r\n \t
          2. In the Assign Participant window that pops up, set the drop-down menu under Locate Role<\/strong> to the appropriate editorial role for your account<\/li>\r\n \t
          3. In the list of names, select your user account<\/li>\r\n \t
          4. Ensure the predefined message template and Message fields are blank<\/li>\r\n \t
          5. Click OK<\/strong>.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/li>\r\n \t
          6. Update the decision:\r\n

            1. In the Submission sub-tab, click Change decision<\/strong><\/li>\r\n \t
            2. Click Accept and Skip Review<\/strong><\/li>\r\n \t
            3. In the Accept and Skip Review window that pops up, select \"Do not send an email notification\"<\/strong><\/li>\r\n \t
            4. Click Next: Select Files for Copyediting<\/strong><\/li>\r\n \t
