Last updated:<\/strong> November 12, 2021 for OJS 3.3.0.8<\/div>\r\nIf you publish a [pb_glossary id=\"151\"]submission[\/pb_glossary] after the publication of the [pb_glossary id=\"148\"]issue[\/pb_glossary] - for example, if you have a rolling publication schedule - the DOIs will not be automatically assigned and registered. You must perform two small tasks to do this manually.\r\n

<\/a>Assign the DOI prior to publishing the submission:<\/h2>\r\n

  1. Open the submission's Publication<\/strong> tab<\/li>\r\n \t
  2. Go to the Identifiers<\/strong> facet<\/li>\r\n \t
  3. Click Assign<\/strong>, next to the DOI field<\/li>\r\n \t
  4. Click Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\nNote:<\/strong> if you forget to assign the DOI prior to publication, you can perform these steps by editing the submission after publication<\/a>.\r\n

    <\/a>Register the DOI with CrossRef:<\/h2>\r\n

    1. In the back end of OJS, click Tools<\/strong> in the left-hand menu<\/li>\r\n \t
    2. Open the CrossRef XML<\/strong> Export Plugin in the list of Tools<\/li>\r\n \t
    3. Click the Articles<\/strong> tab. Your newly published submission should appear at the top of the list with the status Not Deposited<\/li>\r\n \t
    4. Click the checkbox for the submission<\/li>\r\n \t
    5. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click Deposit<\/strong><\/li>\r\n \t
    6. Wait for the page to reload. If registration is successful, you have completed the process. If you get an error message, please notify the Digital Publishing Librarian.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\nNote:<\/strong> this must be performed by a user with the Journal Editor or Journal Manager role","rendered":"
